I love mushrooms. Mushroom sauce, mushrooms soups, mushroom pate, mushroom pancakes, anything with mushrooms, I will have it (if it doesn't come with meat of course). I think I am part hobbit.
This recipe is absolutely wonderful. Full of flavour and meaty king oyster mushrooms. This is one of the many recipes I want to show to meat-eaters who constantly ask me, "What do you eat?".
I got this recipe from my favourite duo, the BOSH! boys. I own three of their books and can't wait to get their 4th one when it's out in September. So here is the recipe.
I love chives as well. I find that using a pair of kitchen scissors (make sure you only use the scissors for food) are much better to cut chives up than using a knife. Sprinkle them on top and yummy. I also added some dill to the sauce.
I get my mushrooms fresh from a farmer. It's hard to get reasonable priced exotic mushrooms if you don't live near a food market. I find supermarket prices for woodland mushrooms rather spicey. I order them from a grower in Lancashire. Link below:
The delivery cost might be high but the mushrooms are lovely. I regularly order around 1,5 kg of different mushrooms. I tend to steam them and freeze them to use later. Enjoy!
